This blog is being dedicated to all the lost souls of the millions of dolphins that have been slaughtered in the cove at Taiji Japan. I will do my best to post a day to day account of what I see, hear, and feel. This will be one of the toughest things I have ever experienced. I pray I will stay strong enough to get the word out about this atrocity.

And why do they have to kill the mothers and her calfs?That is hard to take.I can't watch a slaughter on video let alone in person. Well folks it was my last day in Taiji and the dolphins were safe again. Also Erwin was found not guilty!!!! What a great last day!!! I am off to catch a train to Osaka to catch my flight home tomorrow. Thank you all for following my trek in the place I call dolphin hell! I will return to this place and that is a promise!
Anonymous asked: Matt will this slaughter ever end in Taiji?? It's been gone on for 40 yrs. It's been discovered in 2001 by a activist Hardy Jones who witness a pod of pilot whales being slaughtered. Then in 2003 Ric O'barry witness it also, in 2009 The Cove was exposed. They been fighting this for the last 10 yrs.WHEN WILL IT END???
Unfortunately there is no end in sight to this atrocity but until it does end I will return to fight!

Well I hate to have to say this but tonight is my last night in Katsuura… That is the name of the town outside of Taiji I have been staying in… It is a double edged sword going home is… I want to see my family and friends… I want to have a whiskey and coke and just relax… But I also want to stay here until this slaughter stops permanently! Unfortunately one cant have both things in this life… So enough about what I want right now… On to the show… I am going to make this short and sweet because I am mentally drained and I have a lot to do to prepare for my long flight home… So here it is…. It was a NO KILL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! The dolphins swam free yet again and I pray they continue to do so for eternity… But being I know the pride of the people here will not allow this to happen I vow to return again very soon… If there are any of you interested in becoming a Cove Guardian please contact me… We can always use the help and I would love someone to travel with in the years to come… All I can warn you is that your life will change forever and you too will want to return… Thank you all for joining me on this journey of ups and downs and I will try to keep updating this as much as I can with the information I receive from my fellow Cove Guardians…

The strength you have to be able to witness the slaughters is something I don't think I would be capable of, I get sick thinking about it. Thank you for being there.
